One powder picture

I finished the Flandria triple tree top last night. I was going to do the forks at the same time, but i was low on powder and didn't want to get halfway through before I ran out. That turned out to be a good call. I had just enough to finish this part. I should have more powder by Friday though.

I think my next powder project will be a set of controls...probably for the Pinto.

Blast and powder party

A few of the Radium City guys stopped over last night to use the blast cabinet for the first time. Both Kyle and josh had wheels they wanted to work on...kreidler six stars and puch five stars. The glass beads had a tough time working the factory coating off of the kreidler wheels. We decided they probably needed an aircraft remover bath first.

Kyle bought a nice vinyl cutter recently. He has been making decals nonstop ever since. Check out this huge logo I now have in my garage. It turned out great.

We did powder a couple of parts last night. I didn't grab any pictures though. I'll finish that up tonight and post it later.

What to do with this Free Spirit

I spent some time with my friend, Mark, tonight trying to figure out what to do with his Free Spirit. There are so many options....lower it, mini magnum, chopper, top tank, custom frame...hmm.

More blasting

This is a really fun tool to own. The top of the triple tree only took me 5 minutes to do. The fender is next.

New blast cabinet

I was debating on what to do with the Flandria forks...until I found this on CL. Now I can remove old paint off of lots of things. I'm anxious to try it out.

The guy I picked it up from was a fighter pilot in WWII. He is in his mid 80s now and runs a small museum north of Chicago. It was really cool to meet the guy and hear his stories. He really enjoyed this cabinet and he was excited to hear that I'll be getting good use out of it.

Flandria tail light finished

It took quite a while to fish the wires through the frame, but it was worth the effort. The mounting and wiring turned out really nice.

Flandria forks

I spent some time working on the Flandria last night with a couple of the Radium City guys. We pulled the forks off to prep them for powder coat. We also finished up the wiring and figured out the tail light mounting. I'll post some pictures of it when it is done.
